PRIMARY CHAIN DRIVE

This Paul Cox inspired 4-speed style primary chain drive system is designed to work with a 4-speed 12 1/2″ main shaft typically used in 1970-85 ratchet and rotary style transmissions. Made with nickel-plated 530 O-ring chain, it has the tough, cool look you have come to expect from Tech Cycle Performance Products.

The system will accept a stock Harley-Davidson square clutch dog style clutch or, you can step up to the Cyclone Drop-In clutch for added performance. Available in anodized or polished finishes. If you don’t want to kick it, Tech Cycle’s 4-Speed Isolator Series Electric Start Kits for ratchet top, rotary (cow pie) top and 5 or 6 in a 4-speed transmission case utilize a transmission-isolated bearing support plate and a Tornado gear reduction starter (with self-contained solenoid).

The starter assembly can be rotated and mounted in four (4) different positions allowing the kit to be used on both swing arm and rigid applications.

Kits include a ring gear which would be mounted to the chain drive clutch basket..
